Behind the Business

Hello! My name is Shannon and I'm the owner of Persephone Painting and Improvements. The name Persephone comes from a goddess of greek mythology. She is daughter of Zeus and Demeter and the goddess of springtime and growth (which I love!). She ended up having to marry Hades, god of the underworld. However, she was allowed to spend part of the year on earth, so the myth claims that spring is when she's home on earth, and winter is when she's with Hades in the underworld.

Now that I gave my summary on where the business name comes from and my interest in Greek mythology, on to more about me and my focus. I reside in berks county PA, with my 6 incredible children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. Needless to say, my home life is never dull and I wouldn't want it an other way!

I love painting. It's all about improvement. The beauty of every home is there, but sometimes its just waiting to come out. Your personal style is what brings it to life and adds so much to the look, but more importantly, the feel of your home.
